Is there a phone app available for Walk Through Texas History program?

Yes, Walk Through Texas History does offer a mobile phone app that allows participants to quickly access their WTTH Dashboard and enter stepson their mobile device within seconds.

Please follow these instructions based on the type of device you own:

For iPhones
1) Open the website https://howdyhealth.org/programs/wtth
2) Click the 'Share' icon at the bottom which is the "box with an arrow pointing up"
3) Scroll the icon options and tap 'Add to Home Screen'
4) Click the 'Add' button in the top right corner
5) Tap the WTTH app on the home screen to access the participant's dashboard and enter steps

For Android/Samsung
1) Open the website https://howdyhealth.org/programs/wtth
2) Click the 3 dot icon in the top right corner
3) Select the option 'Add to Home Screen'
4) Tap the WTTH app on the home screen to access the participant's dashboard and enter steps

What to do if you fail to receive an account validation email?

Please note that some servers, firewalls and email applications may have spam filters in place that capture email generated by the Howdy Health system.  First, check your spam/junk email folder to see if your account validation email from Howdy Health is located there.  If not, please submit a ticket request with your name plus the email address used during registration and we will validate the account for you.

How do I change my password, email address or other profile information?

If you are logged into your account, go to the menu at the top of the page: Member/Profile.  You can edit any information you entered when registering for your Howdy Health account including password, username and email address.

If you are NOT logged into your account and can't remember your username or password, select the appropriate option underneath the login form.  Be sure to monitor your spam/junk email folder as well for your activation email: https://howdyhealth.org/programs/login-adult

If you are still experiencing issues, please submit a help desk ticket.

How to join a team?

You should have received a team code from your team captain before beginning the join a team process.  Contact your team captain if you do not have this team code.  Once you have the team code, please follow these instructions:

 Click the WTTH Dashboard button under the Walk Through Texas History section
- Click the 'Join a Team' button
- Complete the join a team form and paste in the 'Team Code' when prompted

How to create a team?

To create a team, please follow these instructions:

 - Create or log into your account at https://www.howdyhealth.org

 Click the WTTH Dashboard button under the Walk Through Texas History section.
- Click the 'Create a Team' button.
- Complete the create a team form (if your team will be in a league, you should have received a 'League Code' from the league commissioner to associate your team to that league).
- If you will be participating as a member on the team, select the option to join the team once created.

How to create a league?

To create a league, please follow these instructions:

 Click the WTTH Dashboard button under the Walk Through Texas History section
- Click the 'Create a League' button
- Complete the create a league form

Please note that the email addresses you enter on the create a league form should only be for team captains that will create a team in your league.  Team captains will send invites to their team members to join their respective teams.

Can I create more than one team?

No, a team captain can only oversee one "active" team at a time therefore a unique team captain is required for each team in your league.  Once the 4-week program ends and your team becomes "inactive", you will then be able to create another team.

How to invite a new member to join your team?

All a new member needs to join an existing team is the 'Team Code'.  A team captain can locate their Team Code from the WTTH Dashboard by clicking on the 'Team Profile' button.

If you are a team captain that needs to invite a new person to join your team, please email the member(s) these instructions along with your 'Team Code':

How to invite a team captain to create a team in your league?

All a new team captain needs to join an existing league is the 'League Code'.  A league commissioner can locate their League Code from the WTTH Dashboard by clicking on the 'League Profile' button.

If you are a league commissioner that needs to invite a new team captain to create a team in your league, please email the team captain(s) these instructions along with your 'League Code':

Can a league commissioner or team captain register or enter steps for other team members?

Each participant must create an individual Howdy Health account and will be responsible for their daily mileage entry. League Commissioners or Team Captains do not have the ability to register additional participants or enter Team Member mileage, outside of their own.

How to tie a team to a league after the team is created?

This is an enhancement we are currently working on and this will be available to participants in the near future.  If you created a team and then discover you need to associate that team to a league, please submit a ticket for your request.  In your request, include your team name (or team code) and the league name (or league code) that you need the team to be associated with.

Why can't I see members on other teams in my league?

Please note that if your team is in a league, team captains and team members are only able to view members on their respective team, not the members on other teams. This is in respect to personal data protection concerns.  League commissioners are the only entity capable of seeing all individual members of all teams in the league.  The 'View League' section allows you to view the total miles of each team in the league.

Why do I not see the option to Enter Steps?

It's important to note that a participant must be a team member on an active Walk Through Texas History team to have the option to enter steps.  

  • Successfully registering for a Howdy Health account does not mean you are a Walk Through Texas History team member (participant).  Once your Howdy Health account is created, the next step is to join your respective Walk Through Texas History team to participate in the program.  To join a team, click the 'Join a Team' button on the WTTH Dashboard.

  • Creating a team and taking on the role as Team Captain does not mean you are a Walk Through Texas History team member (participant).  Team Captains are not required to participate on the team they created and have the option of only overseeing the team.  A Team Captain is required to join the team they created if they would like to be a team member and participate.

  • Creating a league and taking on the role as League Commissioner does not mean you are a Walk Through Texas History team member (participant).  League Commissioners are not required to participate on a team and have the option of only overseeing the league.  A League Commissioner is required to join a team within their league if they would like to participate.
